Diversification

      Stanford

        Harvard

Yale

I read an article "Top 10 Business Schools that are the toughest to get into", provided by Princeton Review, today. The headline caught my eyes.

No doubt, Stanford, Harvard, Columbia, UC Berkeley, U of Pennsylvania, MIT, Yale, New York U, U of Michigan Anne Arbor, Dartmouth College are all in the list. I, of course, look into the requirements of potential candidates and applicants for enrollment. Speaking of diversification, top schools are always looking for not only academic wise, but also other strenghts that stated below.

"Demonstration leadership potential, personal qualities and contribution, good citizenship, the impact you made on your workplace matters much more than your job responsibilities, academic ability, leadership experience, unique personal characteristics, demonstration of quantitative ability, depth and breadth of extracurricular and community involvement, articulation of clear focus and goal, interpersonal skills, entrepreneurial spirit, strong quantitative and analytical skills, diverse expertise and experiences"

Besides scoring TOEFL & GMAT and undergraduate transcript, all above figure prominently into the admission decision. This is interesting!!!! I like this because I always agree that a successful person should not be merely academically, but diversified in other parts of characteristics as well!!! And, it includes all the Emotional Intelligence -- leadership, life goal and spirit!

To have a wonderful life is not making tons of money, it's to make use of your life with all your strength and to brighten people's life at the same time!
